Ultrafast reactivity in radical chemistry
Abstract
The femto-radical chemistry in liquids and solutions provide guidance for further studies of charge transfers that take place on the time scale of atomic and molecular motions. Studies devoted to the dynamics of non-equilibrium electronic states permit the real time probing of primary steps of an electron detachment, caging effects during a univalent reduction reaction or a 2σ/1σ* bond making in anionic radical. Some investigations devoted to the microscopic approach of radical processes are presented. They involve chlorinated and sulfur compounds in solutions and organized assemblies.
