Recent advances in the MADIX process

Abstract

The present communication deals with several recent developments of the MADIX process, including (i) the removal of the xanthate terminal group (detailed by the authors in two separate preprints of this volume) (ii) the use of a fluorinated xanthate in ab initio emulsion polymerization (iii) the synthesis of hydrid block copolymers comprising a poly(dimethyl siloxane) or a polyolefin block. The latest results of our group confirm the versatility of the MADIX process to produce a broad range of polymers with controlled architectures in homogeneous or dispersed media.
